Conversions
The conversion of fabricated or forged parts
into castings is an important part of what we do at Carson
Castings. Converting a fabrication to a casting often makes
sense when the fabrication requires multiple pieces of material
welded together. The resulting casting conversion is usually
more aesthetically pleasing and less susceptible to dimensional
variances.
Converting forgings to castings is most successful
when the customer requires a greater adherence to near net
shape of the finished part by the use of cores. The conversion
of both steel and aluminum forgings to ADI castings has been
